Breastfeeding Matilda has been a challenging but deeply rewarding experience.
In the early days, we struggled with her tongue-tie, which made feeding difficult. But we were fortunate to have met Andrea from the infant feeding team at Medway hospital. Her patience and determination to see us succeed made all the difference.
Andrea gave us the tools and confidence we needed to push through the hard moments, and her support will always be something I cherish.
My husband has also been a rock throughout this journey. He celebrates our small victories and picks me up in difficult moments. He does every night feed with me to remind me I’m not alone. I couldn’t have done this without him.
Six weeks after Matilda was born, my sister Millie welcomed her son Chester, and breastfeeding together has been a unique and wonderful bonding experience. Having someone to talk to who truly understands the highs and lows of breastfeeding has been invaluable.
I love my village 😊💜
