Breastfeeding when you’re having more than one baby can bring it’s own challenges, but it’s possible to successfully breastfed twins or multiples.

Multiples are more likely to be born early and very small or premature babies can find it difficult to breastfeed at the beginning.

Having trouble latching?

If you’re unable to latch your babies straight away it doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to breastfeed. Spending time skin-to-skin with your babies, as well as expressing breastmilk regularly will help.

It will take time and practice to get both babies latched and feeding at the same time. so please do ask for support and help if you need it.

Breastfeeding two babies comes with its challenges.

But as with any breastfeeding journey I knew I had to give it time.

Time for both me and my babies to adjust, and time for stillness.
